This Sucks

I haven't been up much for writing lately. I haven't been up for doing much of anything lately. I really hate my job and I hope hubby gets one soon. He has been getting pretty depressed over the whole thing and he knows I am not happy. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the position in Charleston. I don't think he is too thrilled over it, because he will have to commute up there for at least the remainder of our lease (its about an hour and 15 minutes each way), the cost of living in Charleston is a bit higher and he really enjoys living where we are (he really likes the remote country lifestyle, I'm not a big fan of it). If he does get it though, it will be the highest paying one. Some of the other jobs he's been interviewing for are HUGE cuts in salary from what he was making and I think he would be selling himself short. Its not that I expect him to get a job the matches what he was making in Florida (I realize the cost of living is much lower here), but some of the positions pay A LOT less than what he was making and would defeat the purpose of moving up here where we thought we could afford a home.

If he gets this job in Charleston, I will start looking more actively for something up there. I think, overall, we would be happier there. His friends are in Charleston. We don't have any friends here. There is more to do there and we could find somewhere to live in the suburbs so we would still have that small town feel without giving up the convenience of the living in a metro area.

I will miss all the eye candy around here though. Its nice seeing all the cute little marines in their cute little marine outfits...
